All Things Pretty in Pink

October is a wonderful month, and not just because it marks the beginning of Fall and the return of Pumpkin Spice Lattes. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we love supporting a cause that affects so many women around the world. Breast Cancer Awareness is no longer just about wearing a pink ribbon on your jacket. Instead, it has gotten wonderfully chic and there is a way to show your support no matter what your style!  With National Breast Cancer Month turning 25 this year there are a multitude of collaborations sure to make anyone feel like a fashionista for a good cause.

For our fellow beauty junkies, Royal & Langnickel’s Pink Brush Essentials sets are a great way to show your spirit and support for the month–plus they come in adorable pink cases!  The company will donate up to 10% of the purchase price to  Susan G. Komen for the Cure for every Pink set sold in the month of October!

There are other great ways to give back during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Avon, for example, has a wide selection of pink ribbon products, but this charming and quirky lip print umbrella really caught our eye.

They also have a great ballerina pink polish, just like the ones used on the Spring 2012 runways! It would make a great neutral, and 100% of the net profit of both of these products goes to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade. Essie also has similar color names Breast Cancer Awareness, and sold at Nordstrom stores everywhere.

If you want to support the cause while making your locks look lovely, CHI and Conair also have partnered with the Susan G. Koman to create a straightener and hot rollers dedicated to NBCAM.

For the athletic lady, New Balance is the official sponsor of the Susan G. Komen’s 3-day Race, and they have a multitude of sassy pink workout gear that benefits the foundation. Why not try these pink and silver tennis shoes? Or, perhaps, a tank top for workouts. Either way, you’ll be pretty in pink at the gym.

OPI, in its fifth year collaborating with Susan G. Komen, recently debuted its first pink Shatter top coat in honor of the month. They will be making a $25,000 contribution to the foundation.

Remember, giving to a wonderful cause such as Breast Cancer Awareness makes everyone feel beautiful inside and out, and that is what this entire month is about. Take a minute to sit back and be thankful for what you have and think of everyone who has been affected by this disease. Together, armed with all things pretty in pink, we can help find a cure!
